Our Story - GOMYART

Hello. I'm Fatima Zahra.

I guess you could call me the "co-founder" of GOMYART, though I don’t particularly like that title. Let’s just say I’m an entrepreneur by accident.

GOMYART, in many ways, is my beautiful shell. It all began when I was searching for a workspace design for my husband, a freelance developer who spends long hours in his office. We explored numerous workplace designs and bought several office accessories. However, there was one crucial element I couldn’t find: the perfect office shelf, or as we call it, a Deskshelf.

I was specifically searching for a desk shelf because it can help maintain a more ergonomic workstation. With a desk shelf, you can position frequently used items within easy reach and at eye level, such as computer monitors or accessories. This setup encourages a healthier sitting or standing posture, reducing the risk of straining your neck, shoulders, or back.

Despite searching extensively on the internet, I couldn’t find the ideal Desk Shelf that fit our needs. My husband and I were surprised to discover that there were no suitable options available in Morocco. The only ones we found were either unavailable or prohibitively expensive due to shipping costs to Morocco.

One day, my husband suggested, “Why don’t we design our own brand?” With his love for electronic design and my passion for decor, marketing, and frontend development, it seemed like a perfect match. That’s how GOMYART was born – out of necessity and a shared passion for creating beautiful, functional workspaces.

My husband has always had a love for wood. During lunch, he often watches woodworking videos. He even has carpentry tools, although I’m not quite sure where his love for carpentry came from. His enthusiasm for woodworking and my dedication to creating a perfect workspace drove us to create our first product.

We started designing our own products, focusing on quality, ergonomics, and aesthetics. Each piece we create is a blend of our skills and passions, crafted to enhance workspaces and improve productivity. GOMYART is not just a brand; it’s a reflection of our journey and our commitment to bringing art into everyday life.

Today, GOMYART is more than just a brand; it’s a community of like-minded individuals who appreciate the fusion of art and functionality. We continue to innovate, creating products that inspire and transform workspaces around the world.
